Santa's Village visitor from the 1950's “I first visited Santa's Village in 1956. What a fabulous fantasy. I remember the toy shop, doll shop, Mrs. Claus's kitchen, a candy shop and many many more wonderful shops and places to see and rides to go on. Years ago, there was a tree outside the doll shop that had loop lollipops hanging from it that you could pick and eat as many as you wanted. I took my childern every christmas eve day from 1973 to when it closed. So very sad to see it go. What a beautiful tribute to everyone's magical fantasy's of where Santa lives with his reindeer, elves, shops with one of a kind trades, spices, candies, the best hot chocolate and so much more. There truly was no bigger dream come true as a child then to see Santa and touch the real North Pole.”
